This was the first game our offense looked like a Davidson offense by the way. Great to see KP and Luke bust out of their respective slumps from 3. |

Seahawks had same number of 3-point tries, shot two more FTs, and and 13 more attempts from the field (courtesy of 17 off. boards). We win by six, by making more of our shots (56.9 to 43.8). _________________ Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin |

I'm tending to agree, and almost posted same earlier. |
I'm sure we'd love him if he was on our team, but I agree. He's a jerk on the court. |
Uh, no. When we beat them at our place last year, he reminded me of a taller and less-talented Kyle Hines. Very good inside of 5 feet, almost useless outside of it. I saw the same tonight. If you are going to go as far as a guy like Cacok can take you, you'll not go far. |
Cacok has 30 rebounds against us the last 2 years, but 2 losses. |

We had some clutch play near the end. KP's offensive rebound was huge. |

As I recall it, Cacok wound up on the floor -- don't know if it was one of his flopping acts or not -- but Luke went over to him, patted him on the shoulder, and seemed to act apologetically. Cacok reacted petulantly, and Kellan came over to support his mate Luke; he no doubt recalled that Cacok had already picked up a technical for trying to kick Luka when they were both tangled up under the UNCW basket.
Trying to watch this game on the computer is inherently limiting; is my recollection of a fleeting event, that will never replayed, essentially correct? _________________ “Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.†— Jeff Bridges as The Dude in "The Big Lebowski" |

I saw the Luke/Fish interaction too. If I had to guess, Luke said something. Judging from his Twitter account, he wouldn't pass up an opportunity to say something clever/sarcastic. |

+11 tonight when Luka was on the floor
+11 when Carter was on the floor.
Luka continues to impress with his back to the basket. Teams will have to double team him. And he is very good at passing out of it. _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

Now we know why Coach was so high on him. Said he would dance in the streets if we signed him. |

Yes. Four guys fouled out for the Cats. Our man Dunn was not one of them. |

Of the upcoming games, I would be stunned if the game at Wake Forest doesn’t end up as a Wildcat victory. Wake is one of the most poorly coached teams I have ever seen. They remind me of that Missouri team that Quin Snyder brought to Belk many years back—look like they are chiseled out of granite, but don’t have the first clue how to play as a cohesive unit. |

Coach revealed in the postgame interview today is the anniversary of Luke’s father passing away. Thrilled to see him play and shoot well, and be a pivotal part of the victory. |

Not intending to be sarcastic, but it depends on how you define "good". I sort of look at it the way I look at my golf shots: My shots are good if I am given the opportunity to hit another one and I turn it down. By that standard I think we're good in the first 8 games. |

There is a difference between being happy with the result and being good at something. I am verifiably NOT good at golf but sometimes my drive goes 250 and lands in the middle of the fairway. This team has a very high ceiling, eking out wins over sub 200 KenPom teams (Dartmouth and UNCW) is below us. There have been other disconcerting results as well. Our offense has not performed to a typical Davidson level and its never a good sign defensively to give up 85 to UNCW and 76 to Dartmouth. Furthermore, we have shot just 33% from three while our opponents have shot 36% from three (that number jumps to around 40% if you subtract either the WSU and UNCC games). |
