Final: Gators 66-WVU 56.
Florida is coached by Michael White. He played for Mississippi when Davidson beat the Rebels in '95-'96 and '96-'97. That Ole Miss team won a game in the '97 NCAA Tournament. |

Tough night for the A-10 - 2-3 on a night when the league should probably have been 4-1. Few quality wins and several bad losses to start the year. Lunardi currently has the league as a 1-bid league this year, and RealtimeRPI has our conference rank at 15. Although there is no question that the A-10 is a quality league and far better than the Southern, it would be ironic, if a 27+ win Furman team got upset by a Wofford or UNCG in the Southern, and that league ended up with 2 bids.
So far, only good ole DU, Saint Louis, and VCU really performing OOC. Yes, I know it's early . . . _________________ "He scores 30 points and he thinks he can call me Bob." |

Remember Ali Ton's straight on bank shot? I don't think he called it. I missed the SMU game 22 years ago today. My son had a 2nd grade Christmas gig. |

I was there in '95-'96 in Oxford with a group of Mississippi alums, pulling for the Cats; great overtime win against a quality Ole Miss team; Williams was superb. And next year's win in Belk was more improbable, coming back from 7 down late.
Michael White was a very good college point guard; tough. His father Kevin White has been AD at a variety of places, including I think Tulane, Arizona State and Notre Dame |

We currently have a Realtime RPI of 50. There are 2 SoCon teams ahead of us. One is UNCG at 40. The other team has an RPI of 21, and it is not Wofford (53), Furman (63), or ETSU (102). The SoCon team with an RPI of 21 is ... wait for it ... The Citadel.
Also, Realtime RPI projects us to finish the season 17-13, 9-9 in the conference, losing every one of our remaining away games along the way, with a final RPI rank of 106. So, it is early, Realtime RPI is meaningless crap, and their rankings of teams as well as conferences should be disregarded. _________________ "We should've thrown our number 7 pitcher against Davidson......" In '98, Mississippi was beaten by Valparaiso when Bryce Drew hit the long shot off the great last second inbounds play. We watched that in the hotel in Atlanta the afternoon before Davidson played Michigan. |

7 games tonight. We're favored in 4. But we're leading in the first 5 games of the day. Please, let it last. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Be nice to win those 5 but the big games are the last two (although SJU and Duquesne would be nice too) |

Won the first 5. VCU barely ahead of Texas. SLU staying close. Sweep? Not likely, but a person can dream. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Temple and Villanova having bricklayer convention. Nova up 21-20 inside two mins in first half. _________________ "Then they started making 3s. A lot of 3s. We're talking more 3s than a bad dating site." |

VCU up 1 with 13+ to play in the game. SLU down 10 at the U8. 6-1 would be sweet. What would Texas do if they lost to Radford and then VCU. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

1. Try to re-hire Coach Barnes.
2. Avoid scheduling any Virginia teams in the future.
3. Involve Coach Smart in the Mueller investigation to see if there has been collusion. |
