Congrats again to the Highlanders! Probably earning themselves a place on the "do not play" list for the top 25! |

Pretty impressive coach:
"The seventh head coach in program history, Jones took over a program with just one win in the season prior to his arrival on campus and led a three-year turnaround that resulted in back-to-back 22-win seasons in 2013-14 and 2014-15. Radford competed in postseason play those three seasons as well, with the Highlanders taking home the program’s first and second postseason victories over Oregon State and Delaware State in the College Basketball Invitational before the 2017-18 NCAA Tournament run."
I suspect he may be getting a lot of calls from the major conferences! |

I have seen Dayton play some this year and they look talented though the results have been mixed. _________________ "That wasn't an upset tonight," Kansas coach Bill Self said glumly. "They controlled the game," Self said. "They whipped us."

There's a reference to Radford's 2017-2018 NCAA Tournament run. Radford beat LIU-Brooklyn in a 16 vs 16 play-in game. Winning a play-in game is not a run.
Tom Brennan coached Vermont to a NCAA First Round upset win. He said people would congratulate him on his team's great run. He'd tell them one win was not a run.
Chattanooga had a run in 1997. Cornell had a run in 2010. Western Kentucky had a run in 2008. 2 wins or more in the 64 team field is a run. |

Wanna make a whole ton of money? The ESPN line on Saturday evening's game between Wake Forest and Richmond has moved. Richmond is now favored by 1.5 points. That looks crazy. Sherod is out. I know Wake has been bad, but they aren't losing-at-Richmond-bad, are they?
7:30 PM ET
Wake Forest
(4-2, 0-0 away)
Richmond
(2-5, 2-2 Home)
Robins Center
Richmond, VA

Line: RICH -1.5

I could be even more stupid than suspected. Wake Forest looks like a flaming bag of poop. Richmond's lead has just been cut to 6 with under 5 minutes left. And now back to 8. And down to 5 with 4 minutes left. Big finish coming? _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

6 wins so far. 7 if Richmond holds on against Wake. A pretty good Saturday. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

There are trap games, and there are trap bets.
I hope Sink kept it hypothetical. |

18-22 year olds are unreliable. Even their coaches often scratch their heads in wonder.
And referees. What referees are capable of on a college basketball Saturday is beyond my ability to articulate.
The older I get the more I realize my powers of prediction make a compelling case for embracing humility. _________________ "Then they started making 3s. A lot of 3s. We're talking more 3s than a bad dating site." |

Kind of disappointed with the A-10 results. St L win over Butler was nice. And Rich over a WF team that looks good, but isn't likely to help the league much come March.
St Joes losing at home to Temple is a lost opportunity by a team that is supposed to be a contender in the conf.
RI missed a chance. Wich St beat Prov. (happy to see the Shockers hold on to win over Baylor. Almost blew a 33 pt lead)
And GW -- how far they've fallen from a team that beat UVa a couple of seasons back. _________________ "Then they started making 3s. A lot of 3s. We're talking more 3s than a bad dating site." |
