He'll probably stay in Brooklyn to watch the semis and finals of the tournament, so he can see for himself.

First year head coach mistake, undoubtedly.

Depth is a concern, but it may become a strong point. Our freshman tend to be better than projected (by others- our coaches are usually spot on). The players recovering from injuries could also be more productive than others expect.

+1. We know what we're getting with KP, JAG, and Kellan but other than that we have a lot of guys who are VERY talented but haven't played at the D1 level a lot (or at all) or have been oft-injured. If healthy, Ekwu can be one of the top 5 defenders in the league and Dusan can provide an unique mix of size, bulk, and skill. For the freshmen, if Luka and Jones live up to their billing we have two starting level players immediately, NBY and David we know a little bit less about but have some standout tools (NBY's size and athleticism and David's shooting/also good size). Personally, I've compared David to Brian Sullivan so everyone knows where I stand on him.

I didn't put Frampton in either category because he fits both but if he is healthy and lives up to his billing he is an elite 3pt shooter and defender.

Can't forget Carter Collins either. The tools are there for a big sophomore leap.

The biggest question mark on CC, to me at least, is will one or more of the freshman force their way in front of him in the rotation. I think CC is pretty darn good, so any freshman who passes him has to be good.

A coach's job is to recruit over the players he has. A player's job is to work so hard and improve so the coach can't recruit over him.

Anyone care to post link to coach’s comments? I’ve reached the end of the Internet.

You can probably access it if you have a subscription to ESPN+, but, Katz mentioned all of the interviews would be on an episode of Around the A-10 podcast.

You can find past ones here, but, it hasn't been updated yet with Media Day material.

It is indeed available on ESPN+.

Davidson WSOC, MSOC, WVBALL... $5/month. I've been happy with it so far.

Cant forget that we knew he was raw coming in, but that athleticism is real. You can never have enough guards in our system; Carter has a role to play.

He described Peyton as “arguably one of the best players in the league” last year. Who would argue that?
