What, no 2022 commit yet?!
Wow, this is terrific. MH is a local girl and apparently a very strong student and player. A 90 recruit rating is exceptional-- the same as Sallie Schutz's. Seems like a great fit. |

Current players are in yellow. Signees and commits are in blue. Next year's incoming class -- HS 2019 -- is full. We have one spot still open in the following year's class, HS 2020.
Searching Twitter for "davidsonwbb offer", I found three additional offers to 2020 players, plus an offer to a 2021. I'd guess that's far from a complete picture, but it's nice to see interest in players who also have offers from (currently) stronger programs.

Unless things have changed, we have 13 scholarships. Because the NCAA allows 15 we could package a 13th scholarship into two 1/2 scholarships. Meaning 12 full and two 1/2 scholarships that gives us 14 kids on scholarships. Actually we could have 11 scholarships and four 1/2 scholarships so that 15 players were on scholarships.
Perhaps the new coaching staff were awarded with more than 13 scholarships when they came on board. We have seen that they have obtained a new staff position, so who knows.
The other question may be regarding Andrea's playing status. I haven't asked anyone and of course, I would hope that she has good health and could continue playing, but her status could change things. _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

Evertthing I have ever read indicates that Division I women's basketball is a head count sport, meaning no dividing grants between two players. _________________ Pi Rho Alpha-"Whatever It Takes" |

Not exactly. It means no more than 15 may receive athletic aid. Schools that give the max don't have to divide schollies. If you give less than the max you can still try to get 15 scholarship players- some won't be receiving full rides.
Volleyball is also a head count sport and we've never come close to giving 12 full rides. I'm sure CC could provide details about how we've tried to make that work. |

Well, we've had a couple of good looks at the women's UA unis. Unless those are photo mock-ups only on our commits...? |

This is big, Andy! Really big!
I remember reading that Observer article last year and thinking, "So you're saying there's a chance!"
Now we have a NASCAR Truck to root for. Go Stewart! |

Incredible, the new staff seems to have brought so much energy to the program and have us really making big moves forward. At the very least its completely revitalized my excitement for the team, cant wait to see how we do this upcoming season.

What a co-incidence. There is a video up on the WBB Facebook page profiling Laurie Delk ('06 if I recall) and her career as a vet at the NC Zoo. In the video she's shown treating a seal. Then we get a commitment from a player who wants to be a marine veterinarian. You can do that if you play at DC.
Comparisons to the slimy shoe money recruiting scandal are welcome. |

Great week. Here's the updated list. Previous caveats still in effect.
I reordered the current players so they are palindromic by first letter by class. Embarrassed that I missed seeing I could do that from the get-go. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Am I missing something here? Has Mallorie Haines committed to Davidson? The only thing I can find in Sink's Links regarding her recruitment is,
"She received her first offer from Appalachian State last week and has drawn interest from Davidson, High Point, Kentucky, Princeton and South Carolina." _________________ "We should've thrown our number 7 pitcher against Davidson......" Post by Tar Heel baseball fan 16 minutes into the game. |
