Bob, I suppose that saying this is redundant, but "Thank you for your service". I truly mean that, sir.

Particularly because if what I've seen about Georgia law is true, he was not required to serve because of his age.

Speaking of UA, Steph has been all over the world recently promoting the brand. He's back home. Bob was just out there and stayed at his house and went to a game.

No word that he found any prospects, but can't hurt. Our new Aussie connection might work out, too.

They don't have them yet.

I don't see how you lawyer types can do that sort of thing continuously.

This probably sounds weird, but I've been jonesin' for a good murder/mayhem jury trial. In all the recent trials on my docket, the defendants have decided to take plea deals.

I guess they knew they drew the hangin' judge.

I had a jury trial in front of Judge Raptor. That night I checked this board and found that RC had spent most of the trial on line posting on the basketball forum.

At least he wasn't spending his time on the Non-Athletics thread. 😉

It was a minimally confrontational trial. The State's witnesses provided the factual info to allow me to argue that my client was one of at least 3 different people who could have possessed the drug paraphernalia in question.

Those of us who can achieve escape velocity bail. I met a guy Monday at an Atlanta Braves charity golf tournament who used to be a lawyer. Now he trains dogs professionally. He had me. He knew Derek Dooley, like me, gave up the practice to coach college football. He was the only one I'd heard of who gave it up to train dogs.

My sister in law was a lab chemist in the Research Triangle Park. She gave it up to train dogs.

She met my brother when he treated some of her critters. She eventually gave him an English Setter. My bro swears she married him to get the dog back.
