I'm not sure what you mean by "THEIR games", but by way of comparison, both GW and Rhode island played to @ 2/3rds capacity last night. We might want to inquire of VCU how they have had 118 straight sell-outs (do they sell 7,657 season tickets?)!

According to their website, VCU has over 31,000 students. How many living alumni do we have, not that many I'd guess.

Add total students plus VCU alums living within a one hour drive of their gym. Number has to be well over 100,000.

Davidson students plus DC alums living within a one hour drive of Belk (and does South Charlotte at rush hour count as being with a one hour drive?). Not sure of the number, but I suspect it's a bit less than VCU's.

When my wife and I headed the Atlanta chapter (gerrymandered to include all of North Georgia), it was the largest chapter in the country at about 1,800. That was about 15 years ago. So let’s say Charlotte metro is at least that big now. That plus students still less than Belk capacity. Using the one hour drive rule, I will bet you would still need over 50% in attendance to fill the place.

A story about our days as Chapter heads. Bobby Vagt did not like to have alumni events at country clubs. We had to be pretty creative. One year we commandeered a church with heavy DU ties (Lefty’s daughter was a minister there years later). We decided to have the Varsity cater the event. In typical Bobby style, he loved it; however, certain rich alumni bombarded the alumni office with criticism over such a classless event.
