He must be proud. Furple beats two Final Four teams and has some serious “Others receiving votes.”

Bad News Marvin Barnes said his goal in life was to dress and act like a pimp. Basketball gave him the path to live out his goal.

Furman scratches back to send it to overtime at home against Western Carolina. Trying to avoid the loss that prevents SoCon teams from getting at-large bids.

The attendance was 2131. They felt constrained to limit themselves to polite clapping because they thought they were attending a theater performance.

One of the refs at that game was Bruce Benedict. Is that the former Braves' catcher? Would he T us up if we yelled Biff Pocoroba was better? Could we bribe him with a Nutty Buddy if Furman resumes the free food promotion?

Tommy Lasorda once remarked that Eggs was so slow that if he ran a race against a pregnant woman he'd finish third.

It is. He has found a 2nd career as a ref

Wonder if our buddy old VMI Kelly Lombard is still a referee? He was in line behind me on a ride at Disney World back in 2000. He looked puzzled when I said, "Rah, rah VMI, whole damn team."
