#122 at #49. 72%. 67-73.
I really enjoyed watching Vasa Pusica last year. He is a big-time guard. He looked like crap yesterday. Some of that was our excellent defensive effort. Carter was especially effective on him. Watching the replay, I can see how much he was impacted by having only one healthy hand. I hope he gets healthy in time to win the Colonial title. I'd be fine if they opt to rest him on Saturday. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Time to thrust the ball violently downward from very short range - while simultaneously raining down daggers from long distance for extra credit. Go 'Cats, collar the Huskies. _________________ All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for men of good will to do nothing. Eddie Burke

Does anyone know the history of teams playing back to back games? It can't happen that often... at least not recently. |

Wartime for OOC, most likely. SoCon regular season going into first round, several times. |

I forgot about back to backs going into conference tournament play. Thats probably fairly regular.
But I don't ever recall it in OOC play |

Lipscomb and Belmont play each other twice every year. I believe that sometimes they even play back to back. |

Each team gets an OOC game with a team on the other side of the bracket from the Charleston Classic.
App vs Alabama
Purdue vs Ball State
Davidson vs Northeastern
I believe VT and Wichita play next year.
It just so happens that the brackets played out that we met Northeastern in the tournamernt _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

That's a really fun rivalry. I prefer Belmont, as the plural form of their mascot is linguistically accurate. |

from Wikipedia:
The school has a heated basketball rivalry with Lipscomb University, a similarly-sized private institution in Nashville. For much of both schools' athletic histories, Belmont and Lipscomb played one another at least twice per year on a home-and-home basis (even more frequently in some years) in both men's and women's basketball. These games are nicknamed the "Battle of the Boulevard", alluding to the road connecting the two schools.[8] In 2006, with both teams battling for their first-ever NCAA Tournament berths, Belmont defeated Lipscomb in overtime to win the Atlantic Sun championship 74â€"69.[9] The Belmont Bruins were seeded 15th in the 2006 NCAA Tournament, losing in the first round to the UCLA Bruins.[10] Even though the two schools are no longer in the same conference following Belmont's 2012 move to the OVC, the games are still played twice a year for both men and women.[11] (The only other non-conference basketball rivalry in Division I with two games each season is New Mexicoâ€"New Mexico State.) |

Yes. Lipscomb's sports teams are known as the "Bisons," despite the plural of "Bison" being..."Bison."
The other two DI teams with the same mascot, Howard and Bucknell, are known as the Bison.
Edit: Forgot about the NDSU Bison. |
