1-2 so far. Losses to #131 Charlotte and #16 Tennessee. Lopsided win over #328 Western Carolina earlier today.

5-9 G Sonora Dengokl leads the way at 16 ppg on 51% shooting, followed by 5-6 G Jessica Wall at 11.7 ppg, 10-23 from deep. No one averages more than 3.3 rpg.

Experienced team with six seniors, four of whom start. The other starter is a junior. UNCA has made it to the Big South championship game each of the last three years.

2nd qtr, U5, 23-16, UNCA. Playing a bit better now. Getting beat on the boards, 20-9. Lotsa turnovers for both teams.

2:17, 25-22 after Kianna finally hits a three for us. She has 7. Cats have switched to a 2-3 zone.

Halftime, 28-26, UNCA. Kianna has 7, Katie 6, and Justine with 5 plus 5 rebounds. Still minus 9 on the boards. They're quick and bouncy and just beating us to the ball. Zone has helped. Sarah and Cassidy both with 3 fouls.

ESPN+ says 28-25. Live stats says 28-26. This is in Asheville, so maybe they'll finally give us back Barbara Sitton's lost point from a few years back.

Speight just nailed a 3 to get us within 32-34. I've only watched a few minutes. Extra ugly basketball, but we should win this. Ugly wins beat the heck out of pretty losses.
