St. Joe's and VCU beat the spread, but the Bonnies go down to defeat on the road and Duquesne has to go into overtime against UIC at home. Dukes now 2 - 0, St.Joe's 2 - 0, VCU 3 - 0 and Bonnies 1 - 2. Overall, not bad for the A-10. |

URI getting drilled at Charleston, 45-29 with 14 minutes left.
Mason was up by twenty at half in Statesboro, now up by two with 12 minutes to go.
UMass down one to Harvard with eight minutes to play.
Saint Louis just tipped against transitional DI team North Alabama. |

Mason finally looked to be putting it together and then imploded. I have watched a lot of the Rhody game. They are inconsistent as you might expect given their youth. Their highly touted freshman Jermaine Harris looks like the game is a little too fast for him right now. Hopefully he can adjust soon as Dowtin and Russell need some help. Not best shooting night for those guys either. Langevine looked good. |

Ouch. 0-3 with SLU up five at halftime.
Harvard, Georgia Southern and College of Charleston are all good teams but I feel like we should go at least 2-1, especially with Harvard missing two starters. |

I predicted 3 A10 teams would make the tournament before the season (Us, St. Louis and St. Joe's) and I still believe in that prediction. However, I think we've already reached the point where these three teams will have to have really good non-conference records AND dominate in conference. |

I'm not saying there's not a chance; but Saint Louis just basically beat a D2 team by eleven points at home. |

you bring up a great point but.... we just required a huge comeback to beat an Ivy League school that hasn't had a winning season in decades. So I'm going to give them the benefit of a doubt so I can stay optimistic. |

Shucks, I didn't realize the Dartmouth program was THAT bad.
SLU will absolutely have their chances to earn an at-large bid! They have Seton Hall, Pitt, Houston, Florida State and Butler on their schedule. But they need to see some dramatic improvement immediately because that stretch starts now. |
