Sunday, 3 pm. ESPN+. According to Massey, it's #210 at #448, 77% chance, 71-62.
The first of five games against Big South teams. The Buccaneers return 4 of their top 5 scorers from last season, all of whom averaged 8 or 9 ppg and all of whom are seniors this season. Two of them -- Rachel Burns and Ke'Asia Jackson -- project as 1000-point scorers. 6-0 F Weknyne Dumorne was last year's leading rebounder at 7.3 rpg. They also get back two redshirts, a 5-6 G and a 6-2 F, who combined for nearly 9 ppg two years ago.
11-20 record a year ago, 5-13 in conference. 43% 2FG, 31% 3FG, 67% FT. Plus 1 rpg, minus 1 topg.
On Tuesday, Charleston Southern won their first game of the season, 101-50, over the Valkyries of Converse College. Consistent with the growing emphasis on footwear in college hoops, the Massey website has Converse listed as the Converse All-Stars.
Go Cats!
** P.S. One game into her sophomore season, Katie is now in the top 15 on the career 3-ptrs made list. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Jackson is a scratch for CSU.
Here we go... both teams man-to-man, CSU attacking the paint.
Under 5 TO, 10-2, Davidson. Four Cats have scored. Chloe, in early, has 4, plus 2 rebs. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Chloe really came on strong in the second half against Queens. She's going to be outstanding. We'll be fine if we can get some solid post play. Tough in the A10. Plenty of good post players. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Goodness, CSU is terrible. Massey says #448. Hard to believe there are only 447 better teams in the nation. 18-2 late in the first. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

End of 1st qtr, 18-3, Cats. CSU not playing well at all. They have to get better, right? Cats finally made a couple threes. Justine into the game like she was shot out of a cannon, lotsa energy. CSU went zone for one possession at the end there. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Early 2nd qtr, 24-4. Bucs sticking with that zone. Cassidy leading the way with 7 now. Bucs have 9 turnovers.
30-4, CSU finally calls timeout. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

We have 4 turnovers. They have 11. They are "shooting" 1-15. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

They made a shot to get it to 30-8. We answered with a Welling three and a Speight two. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

94 seconds, 41-13. I think that's Ally's 1st career three. Pretty good sell job there by Kyla. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Refs reviewing contact above the shoulder. Rowland just took one in the face. 41-13 with about 90 seconds left. Can we keep them tripled at the half? _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |
