Actually, the new lights deserve a new thread.
I think they will get the problems fixed, but from my seat on the third row across from the Cats bench I have several court vision problems.
* There is glare from the lights if I do NOT wear a hat and have the visor pulled way down.
* There is bad glare from the scorer's table digital advertising and stats. Really hard to see that side of the court if the color on the ad/info is white.
* The west end does look very dark. Harder to see the action.
* Sideline partially obscured by the new courtside seats. Don't know what to do about that. I do think that we deserve unobstructed views of the court but I know the college wants those seats and needs the money. _________________ "I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter."

I really like LED lights much better than CFLs for general use in the home. In larger spaces, not so much. I think the technology for arena lighting with LEDs is still somewhat in the emerging stage. We replaced some very energy inefficient banks of lights (floods) in our church fellowship hall this past year--a fairly large space with a cathedral ceiling. Hasn't worked out so well--the quality of the light is just not quite right and there has been a flicker associated with the dimmer system that can be beyond annoying.
My old eyes are having a hard time reading the music. _________________ "There ain't no sanity clause!" Chico Marx |

They put LEDs in the sanctuary at DUMC a couple years ago, it seems. It improved the lighting a lot for people sitting underneath the balcony or even near it. It had been a little too dark for me back there. Overall lighting seems good, too.
I know they had guys working on adjusting everything several times, since they were in there at least three times when I was practicing. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

One of my favorite songs from that era, mainly the guitar licks and editing.
Wonder what a “duece†is, though. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

From the innerwebs...
Quote: | Manfred Mann's version replaces the line "Cut loose like a deuce" with "Revved up like a deuce." In their version, "Deuce" was commonly misheard as "Douche." Springsteen's original line makes a lot more sense - a deuce is a 1932 Ford hotrod. On his Storytellers special, Springsteen said (in a jesting manner): "I have a feeling that is why the song skyrocketed to #1." |

No, I know what a deuce is, in a variety of contexts. That is not the spelling in the YouTube offering.
“Revved up†suggests the Ford coupe, certainly, and brings Beach Boy reference to mind. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

Opens topic...3 comments about the Belk Arena lights, 5 comments about a song that does not pertain to said lights. Sounds right for this message board. |

Kevin Love's uncle and 1st cousin once removed are shown in the video.
John Milner, not the Red, is shown, too.

Does the KM dome in front of D-Block deflect the light or amplify it? |

Aren't there double domes over in that section? |
