“11. Davidson: The Wildcats should go into the A-10 as the favorite and Kellan Grady the player of the year. The trio of Grady, Jon Axel Gudmundsson and KiShawn Pritchett made a combined 175 3s. Bringing back Luke Frampton from an ACL injury gives Davidson one of the best shooters in the program. Davidson was one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the country last season. The Wildcats will be again.”

When is the shootout in Knoxville against #12?

I can't take any "analysis" seriously of the top shooting teams in DI men's hoops that list UVA, aka brick city, as #1.

W&M Shot over 90% from the line, 50% from the field and 40% from 3 as a team last season, and they aren't on the list? First team ever to do this, yes I realize the 3 point line hasn't been around forever.

Typical big conference bias. Oh that's right, W&M won't be on ESPN networks this season, including the conference tournament, so no need to mention them.

W&M should be on this list, and they led theNCAA in FT%, but they did not shoot >90%.

They had a great season shooting.

You’re right, they should be on the list but Andy Katz (the article’s author) got fired from espn.

Just to prove your point, Syracuse is on the list.... which is frankly hilarious.

The biggest surprise about our freshmen so far is the David Cz might be the best shooter on the team, it was said.

My posted observation on June 13 after watching one of the after-camp pickup sessions:
Quote:
The biggest surprise to me was David Czerapowicz. He is a very good shooter, and he also is not shy about attacking the basket, somewhat reminiscent of that kid from Iceland. DCz will get a lot of minutes.

It is no surprise to me that he is really good.

Last year he earned an immediate scholarship offer on the basis of his performance in elite camp. So for his shooting to be better than expected is a rather high bar to begin with.

But then "best shooter" on this team seems incredible. Perhaps the speaker meant that he is the best shooter among the (non-redshirt) freshmen. That I could believe. But the context of the remark did not suggest that to me.

I’ve heard some credible rumblings that David turned down Stanford to go here. He is the sort of recruit it was easy to sleep on because there wasn’t much information coming in from Sweden but when you see him play you get really excited quickly.

I said this before and I’ll say it again, he’s a bigger Brian Sullivan.

If David Cz is the best shooter on this team, this team will be the best shooting team in America not called the Warriors.
