Selection show tonight for the women.
Looks like the following teams will head to the Big Dance:
Elon
Princeton
Mercer
NC State
Dayton
George Washington
UCF is the "Next Four Out"
Hoping to see a few teams in the WNIT. Guessing the following will make the field:
Duquesne
Fordham
George Mason _________________ Sit vis nobiscum |

If these predictions hold out, it shows me the A10 WBB is much stronger than I knew. Props to our Cats for such a strong showing under our new coach. _________________ If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. It's the hard that makes it great.

I could be wrong, but usually 22 wins will get you a WNIT bid from a league like ours. WNIT is 64 teams rather than 32 like the men so there are more slots available.
There is also a WBI which could have some teams as well. _________________ Sit vis nobiscum |

Dayton is a 9-seed. They'll play 8-seed Marquette in Louisville.
GW is a 14-seed and heads to Columbus to play 3-seed Ohio State.
Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, Saint Joseph's, and Saint Louis all headed to the WNIT. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

That's awesome. Glad they announced the teams early. Usually, the bracket is an 1100 or later event.
Congrats to all 7 teams that made the postseason. Hope to see our name on the postseason list next year. _________________ Sit vis nobiscum |

USC from the Pac 12 is the only team to decline an auto bid to the WNIT. 31 AQs and 33 at-large teams.
A10 and Big 10 have the most with 5 teams each. _________________ Sit vis nobiscum |

St. Joes over Seton Hall, 75-57. Four Hawks in double figures. They'll play the winner of the Bucknell-West Virginia game. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

GW hung around in the 1st half. Not so much in the 2nd half. Final, 87-45, Ohio State.
Neila Luma is looking like a future star for the Colonials. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

UConn beat St. Francis, PA 140-52. The Virginia-UMBC result probably put the fear of God and Gino into the Huskies.
That's not the most points scored in a NCAA Tournament game. Loyola Marymount scored 149 in a men's game in 1990. |

While we're at it, last night was not the first time a 16-seed has beaten a 1-seed. Harvard beat Stanford in a women's game in 1998. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |
