Saturday at 2pm. VCU is 4-11 in the conference and just 1-6 in conference road games. They are 1-11 on the road for the year. But they've had some nice results, including a big home win over St Louis. Senior Day. And we get to see Justine go over 1000 for her career. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. #329 at #231. 75%. 71-63.
One double-figure scorer, 6-0 G Tera Reed, 13.9 ppg and 6.1 rpg. 5-10 G Taya Robinson is at 8.1 ppg. 5-5 G Nyra Williams has 89 assists. Two other players have good points or rebounding numbers, but neither played in last night's win over Saint Louis.
Very young team, in rebuilding mode. No seniors and two juniors, neither of which played last night. Only one player on the roster averages less than 10 minutes per game.
40% 2FG, 28% 3FG, 68% FT. Minus 2 on the boards. Minus 3 on turnovers. Minus 4 in assists.
The Rams lead the A10 with nine players whose first name ends with the letter 'A'.

A win by the ladies on Saturday and Richmond losing to GWU (Richmond is the underdog) and we host a first round conference game Tuesday.
Would be a nice way to end the home schedule. _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

FWIW, if I understand the tiebreakers correctly, Davidson and Richmond are locked into the 8th and 9th spots.
We will play each other in the 1st round of the A10 tournament. It's now just a question of where the game is played. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

I didn't look at it that way, but that sounds about right. At Davidson sounds good to me! _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

Actually that is incorrect, if we happen to lose and UMass win then we would drop to 10 seed _________________ www.DavidsonPhotos.com

I would hope for a game here, but would miss the college symphony concert.
Wednesday night I missed choir practice at two different churches. I plan to sing in both groups this Sunday. The Brahms we are singing in German. I don’t know what we are singing Sunday night. Basketball season tests priorities. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

I concur with collegecoach.
If we win, we're either 8th or 9th.
If we lose, we're either 9th or 10th.
To hose, we need to win and have Richmond lose. _________________ Sit vis nobiscum |

Starters... Katie, Saadia, Chloe, Ally, Mackenzie.
Both teams, man-to-man. VCU switching, getting some mismatches we can take advantage of.
Now Rams in a zone. And pressing full court after makes.
** Katie now has 100 assists this season. In addition to being a nice milestone, it's the most ever in a single season by a Wildcat freshman.
** Justine hits a three. She just became the 20th Wildcat to reach 1000 career points. Justine is the 7th Wildcat to reach this milestone in her junior season.
2:59, 14-12, Cats. Six Wildcats with a basket apiece.
Richmond leads GW, 16-8.
Seven Wildcats with a turnover apiece. Ugh.
End of 1st qtr, 18-16, VCU, after we had led by 7. Both teams shooting well, neither team taking care of the ball. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

2nd qtr, 6:49, 27-18, VCU, who are on a 20-4 run. Nine Cat turnovers. VCU is 10-15 from the floor, 3-4 from deep. Refs calling it tight. Katie on the bench with 2 fouls.
Richmond leads by 4, late 1st half.
10-1 run. Tied at 28, 3:31 remaining. VCU calls timeout.
Cats now forcing turnovers, misses. 1:59, 31-30, Cats.
Halftime, 32-31, VCU. The Rams have 11 turnovers. We have 14. Rams at 60% FG. We're at 57%. Rebounds about even.
Justine has 12. Kianna with 7.
Richmond leads at the half, 21-17. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

NCAA Scoreboard shows GW leading 34 - 20 with 1:14 left in the first half. |

The score I posted is from GW live stats.
Yahoo! Sports says it was 31-27, GW, at the half.
So that's three sources with three different scores. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |
