Saturday, 2 pm, Belk Arena.

#76 at #220. 21%. 66-57.

Fordham is 18-6 overall, 9-2 in the A10. The Rams beat us by 8 back on Jan 10. Dominant 3rd quarter by them, frantic comeback by us in front of the screaming kids made it interesting in the final minute.

5-8 G Bre Cavanaugh and 6-2 C G'mrice Davis both average around 17 ppg. Davis also averages over 13 rpg. 6-0 F Mary Goulding averages around 10 ppg, as does 5-5 PG Lauren Holden, who hurt us in the first game.

Fordham coach Stephanie Gaitley is the winningest active coach in the A10, just recently earning number 600. That’s more games than we have won as a program. If you want to see Coach Gaitley’s name on the internet, one place you can go is Andrea’s fundraising page.

Go Cats!

Starters... Kianna, Katie, Justine, Ally, Mackenzie. I could not find Saadia in the layup line.

Mackenzie gets another basketball -- a 1500 point ball to go with the 1000 point ball she earned last season.

Both teams man-to-man, Cats with early full court pressure.

** 4 quick points for #44, she's now tied for 3rd on the all-time list.

1st qtr, under 5 timeout, 15-7, Rams, who are on a 10-0 run.

1:31, 20-7, 15-0 run. Not getting defensive rebounds. Holden has 3 treys.

End of 1st qtr, 20-10. Fordham has 9 offensive rebounds, and they lead 15-6 on the boards overall. 6 pts for Mackenzie, she's now alone in 3rd on the all-time list.

2nd qtr, 6:45, Katie with the steal and score, 20-16, Cats on a 9-0 run. Timeout, Fordham.

Halftime, 29-24. Rams with a very un-Fordham-like 10 turnovers. Rebounds 26-13. Ouch.

Mackenzie with 11. Kianna and Katie each with 5.

Holden has 12 for the Rams on 4-5 from deep... we are not doing our usual strong hedge on their high ball screens for Holden, instead Katie has gone under the screens, and we've paid for that so far. Kianna has done a nice job staying on Cavanaugh's right hand.

3rd qtr, 4:34, 35-32, Fordham, after the Cats had trailed by 9 early in the period.

End of three, 40-34. Had our chances to get closer. Katie in double figures with 10. Justine on the bench with 4 fouls.

Make that 40-35, Katie split a pair from the line after the T on Fordham.

4th qtr, 7:48, 45-35. Fordham tightening up their D. Timeout, Cats.

ESPN's NCAA Women's site has no score for this game. They have no score for the other 2:00 PM A10 game.

Keep up the good work, Chantilly!

5:21, 52-41. Cats with some full court pressure and double teams now. Kianna and Justine each with 4 fouls.

Make that 5 fouls for Justine.

1:26, 56-45.

** Final, 58-45. Number of Cats defensive rebounds = number of Fordham offensive rebounds = 20. Rebounding was 49-28 overall.

Three Cats in double figures, Mackenzie with 13, Katie and Kianna each had 11. Katie also had 4 assists.

Big game with St. Joes coming up on Wednesday.

Thanks for posting. Your updates are always appreciated. Can someone tell me why it took nearly 5 hours after the game for us to get a story posted. I reached out to a couple of people on this messageboard to see if they knew why and no one seems to know why it wasn't up.

Fordham traveled well which added to the crowd.

Fordham has two 1st year players from Carolina Day School in Asheville. Derek cited them as having a big contingent at the game.

** One other thing... Katie has made 57 three's this season. That puts her in the top 10 on the all-time single season list. It's also the most ever by a Wildcat in her freshman year.
