Sunday, 3 pm ET, their place.
#211 at #99. 14%. 79-68.
Saint Louis is 12-10 overall, 6-3 in the A10, after wins in OT and double OT in their last two games.
In a league with a lot of good point guards, 5-7 G Jackie Kempf is among the best. Gets into the lane, finishes, finds teammates, can shoot a bit, the whole package. 14.5 ppg, 7.6 apg. The Billikens' other double-figure scorer is 6-4 C Madison Gits, 10.6 ppg, 9.2 rpg. Three other players at 9+, including 6-2 F Jenny Vliet, who also grabs 7.2 rpg.
As a team, Saint Louis is good offensively, behind only Dayton in the A10. They scored 106 points against us last year. They are middle-of-the-pack defensively, but against UMass and GW they found a way to clamp down when they needed to. Except for Kempf, they are taller than we are at every position.
49% 2FG, 33% 3FG, 73% FT.

We are favorites according to Massey in 3 of our last 6 and at 49% on one of our others. Hoping for a very strong finish. _________________ Sit vis nobiscum |

I was expecting "pointless", but close enough. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Game time is 3 pm ET/2 pm CT.
Derek is in Saint Louis to provide the audio for this one. He told me that his arms are really tired from flying out there yesterday.

Sorry.
Starters... Katie, Saadia, Justine, Ally, Mackenzie.
Both teams man-to-man. 14-8, SLU, 3:01 remaining.
End of 1st qtr, 18-16, SLU. Justine has 8. Saadia and Justine splitting time guarding Kempf. SLU had 12 pts in the paint. Lotsa good looks for them, both inside and out. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

2nd qtr, 4:40, 29-24, SLU. Fast moving game, not a lot of stoppages. Gits causing us problems inside. Vliet causing even more outside, she has 13.
Halftime, 38-33, SLU. Playing fairly well offensively. Need to pick up the D, too many easy looks for them. Won't be easy, they execute really well.
Justine has 12. Sarah with 9 pts and 6 rebs. Need to get Mackenzie and Katie going, 4 pts combined so far. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

3rd qtr, 4:32, 55-43, SLU. Transition defense fail. Mackenzie in double-figures with 10.
End of 3rd, 64-51. SLU scored 26 points in the period. Defense ineffective for the first seven minutes or so, better toward the end. Three Cats in double figures now, Justine 16, Sarah 13, and Mackenzie 12. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

4th qtr, 6:52, 75-60, after we had cut the lead to 7. Billikens making us pay for our mistakes.
Under 5 timeout, 79-64. ** Mackenzie with over 1500 career points now.
** Final, 88-72. Outscored. Tough team to guard... hurt us in transition, among many other ways.
Coach GCF, twice: "... very disappointed in our defensive effort." _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.
