GW is 2-2 in the A10, 7-9 overall.
You can throw out their overall record, as 8 of those 9 losses are to teams in the Massey top 70. Toughest schedule of any A10 team. Best wins are against #104 American and #106 George Mason, both at home The one "bad" loss was to #168 Vandy, also at home.
#114 at #242. 22% chance. 65-56.
The Colonials are coached by Jen Rizzotti, who you might recall played for Geno Auriemma at UConn. They run good half court offense, a very fast combination of passing and movement. Defensively, what I remember is man-to-man, with good pressure on the ball.
5-10 G Brianna Cummings averages 14.1 ppg and 6.1 rpg. 6-5 F Kelli Prange is at 11.2 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Three other players average between 7 and 9 ppg, including 6-0 F Neila Luma, who grabs 6.9 rpg, and 5-6 G Mei-Lyn Bautista, who has 64 assists to only 21 turnovers.
41% 2FG, 33% 3FG, 77% FT. As a team, they commit only 12.7 turnovers per game, which is in the top 25 nationally.
We will need another strong 40-minute effort. Go Cats! _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

We may not win, however we will Compete, Coach Fulks has these girls playing hard and they are an easy team to root for. I really hope Davidson fans will give them a look, complete difference from the several preceding seasons to this one. |

Cobb will be back on Friday. I just drove back from Wilkesboro. 421 is a winter wonderland populated by derelict cars. Mostly pickup trucks that were going too fast for conditions. And a few big trucks who couldn't make the hills. I77 was fine, especially south of Troutman. Mooresville roads are fine. I assume that it keeps getting better further south. My daughter says the Charlotte roads are black and damp and that traffic is moving normally. See y'all at the game. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. 11 dressed, 1 in a boot, 1 absent. Coaches wearing orange ribbons. Our booted player and several fans wearing orange shirts. Get well soon.
As many as 100 fans here. Lots of GW fans. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

1st qtr, both teams man-to-man, both teams a bit rushed on offense, GW with some full court pressure.
Under 5 timeout, 2-0, GW. Cats haven't really come close to making of their 10 shots so far. GW mixed in a zone there, I think. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

On pace for a final of 16-0. We'll score, but we haven't been particularly close so far. Good D from us. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

Now on pace for 35-0. They have a player who is simply too fast for us. And we aren't talking much. _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |
