67-65, we will inbound after the lane violation. 7.2 seconds. The fans behind me have been asking for that all game.
6.2 secs Justine to the line... miss, make up three.

I love the strategy of fouling in the last minute when we have fouls to give. Made Richmond burn a lot of time resetting over and over. _________________ "I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter."

The women's team's RPI is 136! That's the 5th best in the A10! |

Fun game. Our best 40 minute performance so far, IMO.
UR made it very physical in the 2nd half, and the refs let some things go. Saadia had a visible-from-40-feet-away knot on her forehead from the M. Parson elbow in the 4th quarter, the one where they video-reviewed and did nothing. Sarah was tough inside for us, made a big difference. 20-25 from the line was also big, and only 10 turnovers, I think that's our lowest number this season.
We played very well over the last 14 minutes or so, well enough to withstand UR getting hot from deep in the 4th quarter. Only 2 Davidson turnovers in the 2nd half.
Justine had 20 pts, 6 rebs, and 4 asts. Mackenzie with 18 pts, 6 rebs, 2 asts, 1 blk. Sarah had 13 pts and 6 rebs. Justine and Sarah were both 7-8 from the line, most of that in the 2nd half when things were tight. Katie had 7 pts, 6 rebs, and 6 asts, including the big 3 down the stretch. Saadia had 7 pts and a game-high 8 rebs.
** Justine has now scored over 900 points for her career.
** Mackenzie is now tied for 5th on the all-time blocks list.
Next up, GW visits on Wednesday. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

I havent been able to watch any games yet, so its a pretty uninformed opinion, but it really feels like weve been fighting a lot more and in a lot more games late this year than the past few years. I dont know if its a result of the coaching change, a natural improvement from recruiting for the a10, or what that has sparked this change, but its really exciting to see. Feels like we are really taking a step forward from our first few years in the a10. |
