#83 at #222. 23% chance. 66-57 predicted score.

Princeton is led by 6-4 sophomore Bella Alarie (15.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg), 5-10 senior Tia Weledji (14.7 ppg), 5-9 freshman Carlie Littlefield (12.3 ppg) and 6-0 senior Leslie Robinson (9.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg).

Those four players are shooting exactly 50% from the floor combined, with only 21% of those shots coming from deep. The Tigers have other players who have taken (and missed a lot of, so far) the majority of Princeton's 3-pt attempts.

The Tigers beat George Washington, a good A10 team, by 20. They lost to #35 Ga Tech by 11 and beat #118 Seton Hall by 2.

Bella Alarie is the daughter of Mark Alarie, who was part of Coach K's first big recruiting class at Duke in the early '80s. That class, which also included Jay Bilas, eventually reached the national championship game. Mark made all-ACC first team a couple of times and played in the NBA for five years.

Leslie Robinson is the daughter of former Princeton player and former Oregon State men's head coach Craig Robinson, and she is the niece of former FLOTUS Michelle Obama.

Major props to anyone who goes to women’s game then skidaddles up the road to Boone.

I briefly considered it, but I will have a very long day Sunday. So the better part of valor will be for me to attend the local game and watch the view from the mountain via the internet.

Video: http://goo.gl/me65gh
Stats: http://goo.gl/x3fuCx

Starters... Katie, Justine, Andrea, Saeeda, Mackenzie

I can see Derek putting on his headphones... feed is up.

Interview with Coach GCF. Expecting Princeton to run, with multiple players who can key the break. Need to get back, and get out and run ourselves.

Both teams, man-to-man. Princeton denying Justine the ball.

Under 5, 11-2, Princeton. Good looks are few and far between for us so far.

End of 1st qtr, 14-8. Cats have settled down.

2nd qtr, 23-12. Getting hurt on the boards. Tigers have 7 orebs and 6 second chance points.

3:09, 26-17. Katie 7 pts and 3 rebs. Mackenzie with 4 pts, 2 rebs and 2 stls, and a nice lift from Ally off the bench, she has 4 pts and a blocked shot. Sarah has 3 fouls.

Halftime, 34-25.

Mackenzie suddenly has 10 pts, along with 2 rebs, 1 blk and 2 stls. Katie has 7 pts, 3 rebs and 3 asts. Ally with 6 off the bench, plus 2 rebs and 1 blk.

** That moves Mackenzie into the top 10 on the all-time points list, btw. Now tied for 7th in blocks, as well.

Live Stats doesn't show +/- for players, but to me it seems that Princeton is light years better when Alarie is on the floor. She has 10 pts and 6 rebs, incl. 3 orebs, 2 blks, and 1 asts.

Princeton leads on the glass, 25-15.

8-0 run to start the 3rd qtr, Cats within 1, 34-33.

4:15 left, 39-36, Wildcats. 14-2 run. Princeton calls timeout.

End of 3rd qtr, Justine hits a 3 to tie it at 48. Princeton hit 3 treys toward the end of that qtr. They are 8-18 from three. 17 turnovers for the Tigers, 11 for Davidson.

4th qtr, 7:13 left, 55-50, Princeton. Justine has 14 after a scoreless 1st half.

4:13 left, 58-50. Getting some okay looks, shots not falling. Minus 17 on the boards now, and Tigers are 9-20 from three.

1:36, 58-53, under review, Princeton ball.

1:26, 58-53, under review again, Davidson lining up like it's our ball. It is, and Justine drives and gets the scoop to fall. 58-55.

56 seconds, 58-55, Princeton at the line... make, make. 60-55.

45 seconds, Sarah for a pair... make, make. 60-57.

17 seconds, Princeton with a very difficult layup, 62-57. Somewhat reminiscent of Steph's Spiderman layup against Wisconsin.

Cats force a pass, turn it over, Princeton to the line... make, miss, down 6 with seconds left.

Final, 63-57, Princeton. Good game, our best to date, I think.

Justine finished with 19 pts. Mackenzie had 14 pts, 5 rebs, 2 asts, 2 blks, and 3 stls. Katie had 9 pts, 6 rebs, 4 asts and 2 stls. Ally and Sarah each with 6 pts and 2 rebs.

** Mackenzie's 2nd half blocked shot moves her into a tie for 6th on the all-time list.

Cats were outrebounded 46-32, probably the difference in the game, along with Princeton's good shooting from deep. We won the turnover battle, 23-13. We also won steals, blocks, points in the paint, 2nd chance points (not sure how, but that's what Live Stats says), and points off turnovers.

Impressively accurate.

Great effort by the Cats. Princeton had way more talent than we did - pretty much across the board.
Our on-the-ball defense was simply outstanding. Princeton had a lot of trouble getting into their offense.
We played hard and smart. Almost pulled it out.

Nice. I see that we played 12. Less than a minute for Davidson, but at least she played. Good minutes for Speight. Very productive minutes for Welling. Still no Chloe. Optimistic for the future.

Very good effort! Looks like were still working on avoiding the slow start/having the strong finish but this team doesnt seem to quit at all. Optimistic with how were improving game to game!
