Ahrens has a twin brother as well as older brother Kyle. Maybe they'll be like the Heinemans and both develop into DI players. |
I don't know who the Heinemans are (though I can't help thinking of Jamie from Mythbusters), but my immediate thought was the Dahlmans. Isaiah played limited minutes for Michigan State (am I remembering right that he had injury issues?), and we all remember Noah well from his days starring at Wofford. I have no idea what Kyle's prospects are at MSU, but if he doesn't get a ton of minutes, could his younger brother(s) be looking at smaller schools? |

Atl06Cat- You youngsters amuse me. Chris Heineman was a starting guard for DC's 1986 NCAA tournament team. His twin brother Mike started for Wisconsin. They were from Indiana. In a book Bobby Knight complimented Mike by saying he should have recruited him in HS.
Mike maybe had Chris by 2 inches and 20 lbs. Both were very tough and both were winners.
Chris has occasionally posted here.
Edit: I googled Mike Heineman to make sure I correctly remembered his name. There was a story from 2013 about how the twins led Connersville to the state championship. Either in the semis or quarterfinals they beat Steve Alford's New Castle team. Alford had 37. Chris had 35.
Apparently Mike and Chris have joined NBA all stars Tom and Dick van Arsdale as one of the few sets of twins in the Indiana basketball HOF. |

"I don't know who the Heinemans are"
Plain and simple heresy to me. Chris Heineman hit the winning shot vs The Citadel with 4 seconds left on 1/23/84. |

Chris was my KA little brother until Hussey decided that players couldn't pledge.
Great guy. Great player. Tough dude. _________________ "I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter."

Bob would have LOVED Chris Heineman. Tough, never backed down, maybe a little dirty
Catnhat, I think "Heineman" is a board name, like MM15. _________________ That didn’t happen.
And if it did, it wasn’t that bad.
And if it was, that’s not a big deal.
And if it is, that’s not my fault.
And if it was, I didn’t mean it.
And if I did…
You deserved it.

No kiddin'. He was really good. I predict he'll be recruited for the class of 2026. |
I don't have any numbers to go by, but we might also consider the guys who made free throws while jumping rope. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

My early feeling is Justin will go mid-tier Big Ten and his twin will look for a perfect fit at MM+ level. Justin is 6'6" and maybe growing. As a wing he could play for Minnesota, Iowa, Purdue, Xavier, etc.
AJ is looking like an undersized PF, so he doesn't fit as well in Big 10.
I could be wrong. They are still 2 years away from signing. |

That would explain why I didn't know who they were. I would have been one and a half when that team made the tournament.
I haven't been called a youngster in quite a long time (I even think according to Davidson, I no longer qualify as a "young alumni"). Guess it's only when compared to the demographics of this board.... |

Just remember to say "Chris Heineman" when someone asks "Hey, what player was about to get assaulted by Gerald Wilkins when the Davidson cheerleader picked up the old-school huge megaphone and threw it at Wilkins?" _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. First game my wife(girlfriend at the time) knew I was a Wildcat psycho. I wanted to go on the court. |
