Re: Portal
That makes sense if the desire was for additional playing time.

Re: Portal
There was a story in The Athletic about FB players who'd been to three schools, with the focus being on which school the player felt ultimate loyalty to.
One of the players they talked to was Chase Brice, who played QB for Clemson, Duke and App St.
They also talked to a player who spent most of his time at USC (in L.A.) but finished up at Illinois and then Kansas State. He was at Illinois and K-State during 2020 and subsequent years, and took nothing but remote classes at each stop.
He went back to Kansas State two years after leaving and was given a campus tour by someone who was familiar with the place.
If you are a K-State fan you were rooting for a guy who had (at best) a tangential relationship to your school. Although I don't think the young man played all that much.

Classes at Illinois went remote after an extended Spring Break in 2020, until beginning of Fall 2021. Illinois had been developing online curricula for years. The Library Science program has had a distance learning program about 20 years, with on-campus bootcamps each semester. It’s a huge program. You can’t throw a rock in this town without hitting a librarian (although the domestic Taliban would like to stone librarians.)bagelcat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 11:20 pmThere was a story in The Athletic about FB players who'd been to three schools, with the focus being on which school the player felt ultimate loyalty to.

I didn't know you lived in Manhattan, or on a base near Manhattan (Ft. Riley?)
Was Rolando Blackman on that team? I think he made a shot that brought down a heavy favorite (Oregon St, maybe) in the 1981 Tourney.
I hope they weren't wearing two tone purple, as they did for a while in the mid 70s, I think.

Does anyone have any more info they can share (PM would be great) about what happened with Brizzi? Maybe it's not any more complicated than it seems on on the surface, but what a huge bummer.

I would be interested also. Makes no sense to me as an outsider. Pretty much going to start at his natural position, good returning team with Durkin and Kochera padding his assist stats. Very weird and sorry to see.
I keep hoping he returns once Huffman finds a transfer spot

Those were salad days for K-State basketball, no? Reylando Blackmon (sp?).

Re: Portal
Same. I really hope (if he's truly not coming back), that he finds some place to land that works for him. Three schools in three years has to be very, very tough.BaseRich306 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 3:51 pmDoes anyone have any more info they can share (PM would be great) about what happened with Brizzi? Also, besides a visit to Minnesota, has Grant been linked to anywhere else or have any of Brizzi/Skogman/AC been said to be taking visits anywhere? I did try searching for this, but came up with nothing.
