Cal. We hardly knew ye. Good riddance.

Bleacher Report says that Calipari is being offered "a little less than" his current $8.5 million that Kentucky pays him. The real lure, though, is a yearly NIL slush fund of at least $5 million with which he can buy players. The NIL money reportedly will come from billionaire John Tyson of Tyson Foods, with members of the Walton family as backup. I suppose the players will get 6-figure NIL deals to hand out free samples of chicken in Walmart stores.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

6 figures? Gonna need to add a digit to get the players he'll target.

Danny Hurley isn't going to Kentucky. Why would he?
He's a northeast guy all the way, inc. in his demeanor. He's a lunatic, and he should tone it down on the court (he gives you thoughtful and refreshingly honest thoughts off the court). You have admire what he's done. And he's probably already obsessing over how he will do it again next year. Having Clingan isn't a bad foundation.
What was I77's nickname for Danny Hurley?

I've read some reports that Cal has viewed the Arkansas job as a plum spot since he coached at Memphis. Five year deal with a $7 mil base would make me think that too, but then I'm in public education.

Not mine. I think it was the Bonnies fans who came up with The Pageant Mom.bagelcat wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 10:47 amDanny Hurley isn't going to Kentucky. Why would he?

He played at Kentucky. Wonder how he’ll do coaching at normal altitude.JerseyLawyer wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:20 amMark Pope. It'll be interesting to see how LDS plays in Lexington
