Two questions:
1. Can he defend?
2. Can he play the point?

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
#1 is always going to be a question when a player moves to the D-1 level. A lot of players come in having not been coached very well on defensive principles. He's certainly quick and athletic. Looking at his body type, I think he's going to get bigger. Looks strong in the lower body.
Regarding #2, from what I've seen, my general impression is that he is exactly the kind of point guard that will flourish in Bob's system. He is a good distributor of the ball, and really likes to facilitate. It is hard to discern his ball-handling skills just from the video I've seen. He comes from a great basketball family, so I am just going to assume he's a student of the game. I believe he'll get plenty of playing time next year.

Thanks; good info. That makes my prediction of playing time even more likely.RichmondCat wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 12:57 pmAs to No. 1, the answer is yes.

Davidson reportedly expressing interest/following 6’6” SG Lucas Taylor:

My understanding is that the NCAA has extended the no-contact period for the time being (because of the pandemic), which would mean we shouldn’t expect to see/hear news on offers, visits, or the like.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Good review! I asked about point guard because JAG will be hard to replace and I haven't seen anyone else get much playing time at point guard since Jon Axel routinely played 35+ minutes per game.

Kellan, Kishawn, and Carter played point also during JAG’s time. Huffman looks to be the heir apparent.

I am curious about WFTC's post. In watching their film, I see Lanier more as a PG and Huffman more as a SG.

I think we'll see Carter with the majority of minutes at the point.

Depending on how things shake out, i could also see Kellan being our primary point guard with Carter being a sort of super sub/our sixth starter coming in early and often from the bench.Dr. Bliss wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 12:01 pmI thought the same thing.catborn'bred wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 11:47 amI am curious about WFTC's post. Haha. I understand the confusion. Meaning, I see Huffman is being the next JAG/Kalinoski type of player.Dr. Bliss wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 12:01 pmI thought the same thing.catborn'bred wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 11:47 amI am curious about WFTC's post.
