If anyone remembers last year around this time, Davidson soccer player Alex Caskey was drafted in the 3rd round of the MLS draft. After playing a season with the 2nd division, Charleston Battery, Alex is back with the Seattle Sounders FC in training camp. The link takes you to the notes from the first day of training.

Caskey made his first appearance on the bench tonight, good to see a Wildcat on national TV. If you are tired of basketball and have NBC Sports (formerly VS.) tune in to see the Sounders FC take on Houston and hopefully Caskey will make his first appearance.

Here is a new feature the Sounders did on Alex, he also scored his first goal for the sounders in a recent reserve league game against Vancouver. I'll be heading to D.C to catch the Sounders FC take on D.C United, hopefully he will travel with the team for the game, if he does i'll have my Davidson flag in the middle of the ECS (Seattle supporters group, Emerald City Supporters).

Debuted in the 74th minute last night against San Jose, had a nice cross but the sounders fell 1-0. There are some rumors that Sigi Schmid (Head Coach) has been thinking of starting him, hopefully it is in their next game in D.C.
