I will also add this: NBA teams with a PG who doesn't look to shoot many jumpers have someone who is a proven shooter. The Celtics have Rondo and Allen. The Bulls have Rose and Korver, and although Rose's outside game has gotten better. The Thunder have Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. The Heat have Lebron/Wade and Mike Miller. The Spurs have Parker and Gary Neal.

Steph can shoot the long jumper. Defenses have to account for that. Therefore, I would argue that the Warriors should model their five-man lineup after what McKillop tries to run at Davidson - a point, two wings and two forwards. The beauty of having a a PG with the threat of an outside shot is that you can have a wing player whose purpose on the floor can be that much devoted to the non-scoring aspects of the game (setting screens, playing good defense, being a floor leader etc).

Who is leading the NBA in 3 pointers made this year?

Dorell Wright (110).

In effect the Warriors are playing two wings and a point. Lee and Biedrens are the starting post men.

Tim Kawakami (who I usually despise and ignore) has a very good piece about the future of Steph/Monta:

Also, an intriguing response to it:
