Coaches are on notice. You must re-recruit your own players constantly.

Re-recruit? It’s now evolved into simply pay me more or I’m gone. Imagine if there were only one year contracts in the NBA and the NFL? This is beyond ridiculous, and will really hurt fan interest if it continues, in my opinion.

1700 transfers. Many, probably most, will not get more money. Transfer numbers skyrocketed before the NIL explosion. It just shows that there are tons of reasons to hit the road.

Virginia just passed legislation for Virginia Colleges to pay money directly to athletes…hopefully soon colleges will control NIL? Easier to raise money for the Endowment and let the school allocate funds to athletes….

At a minimum, it should allow some amount of NIL to be regulated/controlled. My understanding from the Exit 30 Collective call last month is that the school is anticipating a similar move in North Carolina, so they’re preparing for that to happen.

Maybe NC was anticipating this with the companion legislation legalizing sports betting. That way, the outcome of games can go to the highest bidders.

Any restriction on transfers is going to be met with successful litigation by players on antitrust grounds. Ironically, the best thing for the schools would be for the players to unionize and enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the NCAA under which they AGREE to some limitations on transfers for the good of the game.

After having one player transfer to Vanderbilt, and a second one to DePaul, we need someone to transfer to Missouri.
Rikus?

3-29 overall and 0-14 in the Big East. They need 5 Skogman’s.
