Colt 45 Award: vs. UMASS

Post by raptorcat » Sat Mar 02, 2024 6:23 pm

I could have sworn I had started this thread before game time. Brain fart similar to today's team, I guess. But I'm still putting it up. Not much room in the fridge for "no award," though.

My vote goes to Brizzi as the only guy who hit any threes.

Brizzi. Only 3 pointers made by the whole team.

Brizzi. His four point play in first half kept us attached going into halftime. Second half three also kept us in it when it seemed like UMass was pulling away.

I would’ve liked to see him instead of Durkin more down the stretch.

No winner for me. We gagged away a home win, only scored 67 against a team that is happy to let you score.

Brizzi. I guess I want to get the sour taste out of my mouth by finding some positives in that game.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Gelo!

There were some good moments by several members of the bench, and other not-so good. I take the good ones has hopeful for the future.

I recall that last season Matt kept Reid and Connor in when they didn’t seem to be doing much, and many of us wondered why.

If we have an extra in the fridge, give it to the ticket office. There was a good crowd at the game.

Tuesday will be a challenge. Wednesday, I meant!

Yes, lacrosse and golf ticket sales are very weak.

Brizzi wins this round.

I plan to go ahead and post the next game's Colt 45 thread today so I don't forget like I did this game.
