Colt 45 Award: at Duquesne

Post by raptorcat » Mon Feb 05, 2024 5:23 pm

Wednesday night, February 7, at 7:00. We can watch it on ESPN+.

I'm stating the obvious when I say we need a morale-boosting away win (or any win, at this point). Voting is still open for the winner of the Loyola game, with "no award" holding a slim one-vote advantage. If the voting stands as it is, we will have two frosties in the fridge.

Hunter came up big when the Dukes were closing in.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

One for Hunter, Great game, I would also advocate for one for Ricky if we pull one out of the fridge. The game changed with his quick 4 followed by 3 from Spadone.

Hunter.

He made two really good hustle plays that helped seal the win. Give him more PT, he may give us that grit that we lost when Skogman went lame.

Another great game by Grant.

Hunter with one of the better Colt performances of the season. Great hustle plays, good box outs, tough D. Authentic Colt stuff.

Hope he can put a few of these together and make a run at the season long award.

Hunter gets my vote as well and a tip of the hat to Ghedini who had unexpected minutes in big moments of the game and held his own.

Hunter got in his guy's grill all night. Fun to see. He wasn't afraid of pissing anyone off. I don't think I've seen that before. Shades of TJ. His D and Grants D were exceptional.
