Duquesne is 5-29 from the field in the 2nd half and is going to win.

Somewhere in America a P6 team with a .500 record is crying over Duquesne getting their tournament bid, and some P6 conference is upset about letting the A10 claim the tournament money that should be rightfully theirs.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

The A10 always maximizes its bids by having a good regular season champion, like Davidson '22 or Dayton '24, lose in the tournament.

In 2018, the A10 worked it out to get 3 bids by having Davidson win the Tournament by beating St. Bonaventure and Rhode Island.

It helps that Joe Lunardi is an alum of an A10 school.

(This is tongue in cheek. But it happens.)

The A10 regular season champion has won the tournament twice in the last 10 years.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Haven’t we had 6 different tourney champs in the last 6 tournaments?

Richmond stayed close for a bit, but got blown out at VPI.

SJU acquitted themselves well on the road, but lost in OT. VCU taking on Villanova next.

Duquesne up 14 with just under 17 minutes left in the game. Would be nice for the A-10 to get a win.

Looks like it was well worth the $40,000 per starter in NIL money they paid.
