Up Next: Maryland in Asheville
You don’t have to read more than the title to know this will be a very tough game.

Re: Up Next: Maryland in Asheville
I am feeling oddly optimistic about this Maryland game.
I looked at their roster and they don’t seem to have much by way of shooting. Their best players are (former UNCC) point guard Jahmir Young, forward Julian Reese and forward Donta Scott. Young is more of a drive and dish, playmaking guard. Reese is a bully in the post but can’t score from more than 6-8 feet, he’s a 50%ish FT shooter too. Scott can stretch the floor a bit but he is something like a 30% 3 point shooter. Kind of guy we may be happy to leave out on the perimeter. We have had past success against teams with little shooting that like to bully it inside (former SLU teams come to mind).
The wildcards for them are freshmen Deshawn Harris-Smith (top 50 recruit) and Jaime Kaiser (whom I believe we recruited at least a little), as well as transfer Jordan Geronimo from Indiana. They will be athletically superior to our guys but will make mistakes given their lack of game experience. There is just no data or video on what these guys can bring to the game offensively. If they beat us bad, I bet it’s because one of these guys has a very good game.
All in all, I expect it to be an ugly game, lots of post play, physical inside, and lots of missed outside shots. Early season type stuff. If we get hot at the right time and play tough and organized, we can win it. If I had to make a prediction now, I’d say a single digit loss for the Cats in the mid-low 60s. But it’s early, and anything can happen!

The books have Maryland -10.5, and o/u at 135.5. Projected score of 73-62.5. No idea what to expect as far as ATS result goes but I will take the under (for recreational purposes)

eSPN says the line is 11.5 now. They know we lost a key starter. Threadstarter, that is.

Reed Bailey with an early blocked shot.
I think he had 2 last year.
He then gets called for the charge, which I'm not sure was good call, but it probably stopped Willard from screaming.
Kochera and Brizzi have missed good looks from 3.

Yeah, Durk!

Very good minutes from Logan.
Did anyone see what happened to Brizzi? Matt seemed very upset.

Loving the hustle! And making a few shots! GoCats!
Re: Up Next: Maryland in Asheville
They are more athletic; we are more physical. Tough Cats.

Logan is a defensive savant.

Love the announcer's surprised repetition of "Davidson" when we score on the Terps.
