I like: ""Carter Collins takes Colt 45 award."

Corey Evans from HoopSeen tweeted out that Luke Frampton is visiting Marshall this weekend, which is either wrong (somebody told him last weekend and he misinterpreted as this weekend) or not a great sign for us. This weekend would be an unofficial for him. I have a feeling Evans misheard the information.

For the Marshall Louisville football game. Hopefully also to tell the Marshall basketball staff in person that he is attending Davidson. :D

From Jack's twitter in response to someone complimenting Frampton's game:

That's some really optimistic word choice.

And Frampton liked the tweet.

Are we expecting a Commit from Frampton soon?!?

Defly with Frampton and Whyte, Grady and Collins, Davidson is a top 30-40 class in the country. And then for next year or two we just need to focus on bigs/athletes.

This may have already been covered somewhere else, but both ESPN and Verbal Commits have Kellan Grady as a 4-star player.

When was the last time Davidson secured a 4-star recruit?

How many scholarships do we have left to offer for this class?
I know we have 3 walkons but I don't expect them all back next year- they are fillers

I'm sure they appreciate your sentiments.

The last walk-on we had who didn't stay with the team for all four years left for IUPUI, where he was a scholarship player. We have 3 returning walk-ons who are in years 3, 4, and 5 (Connor Perkey) with the program. I'm guessing they must get something out of it to put that much time and effort in to it. I'm guessing the team gets something out of it or the coaches wouldn't welcome so many. I'm hoping "fillers" was just an unfortunate word choice, because they seem like much more to me.

Perhaps I'm a bit touchy, but I was a baseball walk-on who started well over 100 games. I sure didn't think of myself as a "filler".

No maybe bad verbiage. But when you look at fact we lost 3-4 guys last year and had no recruits outside of axel - I'd say they had a great opportunity for guys who are talented to prove themselves. I hope all make it four years, but just like scholarship players - everyone becomes better by having better more athletic freshman coming in every year to raise the talent pool and improve the success of the program.

Many of us know the academic demands placed on Davidson students, but not everyone also appreciates the additional demands placed on student athletes. I would expect that TCC doesn't distinguish between scholarship player and walk-on and certainly doesn't consider any member of the team to be "filler."
