No limit on stupid
I guess in North Carolina in 2013 there is a gun under every bush.catnhat wrote:Of course he was driving again. He has a valid driver's license (at least for the moment).
After the previous stop a big deal was made of the marijuana and the gun. He took a drug test ASAP, and it was clean. The gun was found under a bush approx. 80 feet away from the car and the fingerprints on the gun didn't match anyone in the car. (If they tossed the gun why didn't they toss the weed?)
93 in a 65 zone is stupid. So says the driver who last received a ticket in 2012 (in Rowan Co.) for 65 in a 45 zone. I represented myself- which once again proves the man who represents himself has an idiot for a client.

I think the ruling was that he sobered up a bit later in the afternoon, so he was OK.catnhat wrote:It is hard to win an ineffective assistance of counsel claim. Supposedly there was once a defense attorney who slept through most of a murder trial and was determined not to have provided ineffective assistance.
But I could be mixing up different cases. Apparently this is nothing unusual.

Hairston "suspended indefinitely". Doesn't really tell us anything new, since he effectively already was suspended indefinitely. When it becomes "definite", that will be news.

I was stuck in Cleveland, Tennessee on Halloween a number of years back. The town had a festival. Tony Dow and Ken Osmond were the grand marshals. Almost had my wife fedex my Eddie Haskell T-shirt to me. It was our frosh hall softball team uniform. We were the Beavers. Actually were a pretty good team, so didn't get the Davidsonian "Delts &^**# Beavers" headline we were hoping for.David Sink wrote:stevelee wrote:See Elly May and Thelma Lou today.
