Yay! Another year where we have the deepest bench ever in August, complain about specific people not getting enough minutes in November and have lost half our minutes to injury by February. (I'm back to "manage expectations in the hopes of being pleasantly surprised" mode).

Sam was shooting some 3's before the VCU game, nice touch.

I like a lot what I see. He has a nice soft touch. However, I have a problem what his trainer is doing in the lay up drills. Big guys need to keep the ball high on their 3 step approach. Every time he brings it low an A10 mini guard is going to slap it away. Shorten your approach step and take it high. We have that same problem with several of our existing players. Stay high and use the rim to protect from the block. You will either make the shot or get fouled. I will say that Grady has put together a recent run where he is staying more in control and going high which has allowed him to dunk on a more frequent basis. His game has been poetry lately
