We must be the runaway favorites to win the whole thing next year, playing 4 on 5 and all because 5/15 came and went

Old news. 2 months ago. It suggests that A10 schools median pay to a starter would be $50k. 10th percentile is $25k, 90th percentile is $300k.

Here is total team compensation: https://twitter.com/JasonBelzer/status/ ... 17/photo/1

So median of $500k at our tier. I'm sure it is comfortably higher now. And the teams at the top of the A10 are going to be way above that.
I wouldn’t draw very confident conclusions from these numbers. “50+” schools is not very many once you start slicing it into four bins and reporting medians, 10th percentiles, and 90th percentiles for each. And that’s before you get to selection bias issues and the likelihood of incomplete/incorrect data from the collectives they do have.

Certain to be low. There is no way that $3M is the total compensation for the top of the big schools. I also doubt that the top teams in the A10 are paying as little as $1.25M for their whole roster.

I have confidence in wftc. Dude said 5/15. It probably happened already and just isn't public.

How much are the Reigels paying MBB players? If we don’t know that, then I doubt we have a good sense of what others are paying.

I've heard some numbers about Davidson players. I haven't tried to verify them. Maybe it'll get more transparent in the future.

Thr amount of money to be raised on an annual basis to fund NIL across all sports at a major must be a huge number. If those contributions are not tax-deductible, it's hard to imagine generating that revenue every year.

I know one thing for sure. To get back into consistent A-10 contention, we need more upperclassmen like Aldridge, Gudmundsson, Gibbs, and Brajkovic. Those guys were flat out winners. TCC.

As Matt pointed out, Loyola-CHI and Richmond won the regular season. The former had 7 seniors and grad transfers, and the latter started 5 seniors. Smart says buck the trend - recruit HS kids and keep them (although the last point is easier said that done).

This seems like the right strategic move to me too.

Rather than give 1 year renewable scholarships, can we give 4 year scholarships?

Perhaps with a "No Compete" clause, though I understand that those are under legal challenge in the workplace.
