Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
I keep checking the Weather Channel to see if it is going to be breezy in Davidson. Optimistic.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Decades ago a friend (who had gone to seminary in NYC) mentioned that radial tires (which were more of a novelty then) could count for snow tires on the NJ Turnpike when required.
Some weeks later when he and I were discussing our upcoming tire purchases, I told him I had heard that the NJ Turnpike would count radial tires as snow tires. He replied that he had heard that, too.

Since we are on page 500 now, should we go for 1,000?

Some people that come on this board only occasionally are really familiar with the NJ Turnpike rules, however.stevelee wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 11:16 amDecades ago a friend (who had gone to seminary in NYC) mentioned that radial tires (which were more of a novelty then) could count for snow tires on the NJ Turnpike when required.

Lack of self-service gasoline is the one with which I am most familiar. In 2006 I was on a group trip to NYC with colleagues. We stopped for lunch in Richmond, and the bus would not restart. A mechanic came and got it going, but said not to turn the engine off until the bus got to a terminal in NYC. We stopped for fuel on the NJ Turnpike, and the driver had a hard time convincing the attendant to fill up the tank while the engine was running.mccabemi wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 11:33 amSome people that come on this board only occasionally are really familiar with the NJ Turnpike rules, however.stevelee wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 11:16 amDecades ago a friend (who had gone to seminary in NYC) mentioned that radial tires (which were more of a novelty then) could count for snow tires on the NJ Turnpike when required.

Note that my little parable for this Sunday morning was not dependent upon whether the tire regulation was true.

I hope he plays like one. We need a wild man who thinks he must kill to survive. We could use several more of them.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
The Kool-Aid list reflects publicly available sources, typically internet recruiting or social media sites (e.g., Rivals.com, Verbalcommits.com, Twitter, etc.), and published reports. The list is maintained for entertainment purposes only. It contains no information received from coaches or recruits. It should be updated approximately every five pages. For purposes of calculating open scholarships, this list assumes that reported non-scholarship players are still non-scholarship and no players will take an extra COVID year. Finally, the list now separates players who are publicly reported to visit, or have visited, Davidson.

I take it from this that Achile is not on scholarship? I see the caveats at the top of the list, but does anyone have different info on Achile? And if he is getting regular rotation minutes in the first half of conference games, will we give him the outstanding scholarship for next year?

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
That is my understanding. We have given scholarships to walk-ons in the past and, I am sure, may in the future. No idea if that is the plan with Achile.quickcat wrote: ↑Sun Jan 15, 2023 7:25 pmI take it from this that Achile is not on scholarship?
