Spadone to Bucknell: https://twitter.com/SpadoneAchile/status/1783934217321062801 Good fit but choosing a school slightly lower in academics located in central Pennsylvania over a school on Lake Norman? He must really want to play basketball. I suppose he can visit the nearby Federal prison on the ...

Re: It has come to this - Camelot is Gone

I think the main objection was the mandatory requirement. It comes across as a Red Guard struggle session when you have to watch. Reminds me of mandatory chapel. No one should object to the movie being shown, that’s what liberal arts are all about. I wonder if it was mandatory in the sense of "If y...

Re: Caitlin Clark - Like Watchin' Steph

Fun thread. Clark reminds me of both Bird and Steph. Both carried their teams far in the Tournament with unworldly play. The Bird/Magic phenomenon revitalized/saved the NBA and Clark has popularized the Women’s NCAA.

Re: Caitlin Clark - Like Watchin' Steph

She is more dominant on her level--in college--than any men's player in I can think of (maybe excepting Lew Alcindor). also consider: Bill Russell. 2 titles '55, '56. Averaged 20.7/20.3 in his college career. Maravich. Averaged 44.2 ppg with no 3 pt shot or shot clock. Caitlin reminds me of Pistol ...

I, too, have wondered about the motion offense given that we may not have players for an entire four year cycle. It’s difficult to learn, so is it still a legit offense if we start relying more and more on the portal?
I have wondered the same thing.

Davidson interest in Jacksen Moni, 6'10 F, Jr. Northern State (D2) https://x.com/PDTScouting/status/1772688919525458154?s=20 Looks like the big man can stroke the J and handle the rock. "Shoot 'em down, turn around, come on Moni." I'm trying to remember if that was on the flip side of "Crimson and ...

Re: In Game: at St. Joe's

We hashed out the nepotism question two years ago on this board when Matt was hired. Time to move on from trying to bring it up again. In my view, the biggest threat to our storied men's basketball program is the NIL phenomenon. It seemingly sprang up out of nowhere on the college sports landscape ...

Re: In Game: A-10 Round One vs Fordham

Tom Burleson was the best player in the best college basketball game ever played. He was decisively better than David Thompson that day. And he beat the crap out of Lefty's All Americans Elmore and McMillen. He could teach the Davidson players a lot. Excellent shot blocker, rebounder, passer, and s...
